Bingo player Scam’s Government on Benefits

The reputation of bingo players in the UK took a blow today, as it was revealed that one player falsely claimed benefit’s.

Jennifer Watson received over £58,000 from the government after she claimed she was disable. The Argos and Co op employee said that playing at her local bingo hall was a dream, but getting their was difficult due to her disabilities.

A member of the public reported the crime and Watson was give 24 weeks suspended sentence for two years.

Judge Thomas Teague QC, told her said in a statement “You told the authorities that you were in a wheelchair, you couldn’t walk indoors, and that you had a career to look after you. We are then told you are working at a store as a supervisor and we certainly never saw any proof of the mythical wheelchair. I have my doubts as to how much this was delusional. You have been very fortunate today.”
